his solo lead in the 5th united Insurance Masters Chess
Tournament at the NSC room yesterday.
On
completion of the 7th round Reefat have collected 6 points.
Playing with white pieces against the Sicilian defense of Rajib, Reefat,
adopting Four Knights Variation, won after 31 moves.

Mar 8: The word’s top ranked chess player Gary Kasparov of Russia
and his fellow countryman Vladimir Kramnik, ranked 3rd,
were tied for first place, after both draw in the seventh round of the
Linares Grandmaster Tournament, reports AP.
Kamparov
gained a clear edge against FIDE world champion Alexander Khalifman
but was unable to press home the win.
