12, 2000 International Master Reefat-bin-Sattar of Biman beat Enamul Hossain Rajib to maintain his solo lead in the 5th united Insurance Masters Chess Tournament at the NSC room yesterday. On completion of the 7th round Reefat have collected 6 points. Playing with white pieces against the Sicilian defense of Rajib, Reefat, adopting Four Knights Variation, won after 31 moves. Other two International Masters of Biman, Ziaur Rahman and Abdullah Al Rakib and International Master Vakhidov Tahir of Uzbekistan are occupying the second position, having collected 5 point each. In other matches of the 7th round, Tahir beat Dipanjan, Suvrajit beat Taibur Rahman Sumon, Pollash beat Syed Ruhul Kabir Shiplu, Ye Win Aung beat Sohel Chowdhury, Dewan Shahidul Amin beat Rezaul Haque, Kazal Mahmud beat Mohammed Javed, Abul Kashem Bhuiyan beat Anisuzzaman Malik and Moniruzzaman Khan beat Nazrana Khan Iva.
