Latvian Grand Master to conduct chess training |

(UNB) - Fide Master Enamul Hossain Rajib lost to CJ Arabinda of India in
the sixth round of the Asian Junior Chess Competition (U-20) in Mumbai. In
the girls’ championship, Bangladeshi Firoza Haq Popi also lost in the
sixth round board to Chaoti Goak Giaur of Vietnam. Rajib
secured three points while Popi half point from six matches. Meanwhile,
Latvian Grand Master Igor Raosis will conduct a chess training course,
organised by Bangladesh Chess Federation, at the federation sports room
today (Wednesday) at 4pm. Zia, Reefat, Rakib, Rajib, Shiplu, Lavlu, Shakil, Amin, Pallab, Moin (Chittagong), Monir (Narayanganj), Nasir, Sumon, Emon, Rani Hamid, Iva, Nipa, Tanima, Zakia, Debraj (Barisal), Firoz (Narayanganj), Mustafa (Mymensingh), Javed, Azaz, Udas, Ratul, Babi, Paragh, Royal (Jhenaidah) and Sumi (Khulna) will participate in the course. |
