Dhaka-- (UNB) - Bangladesh Biman took a solo lead in the First Division Chess League with 11 points at the end of the third round matches yesterday (Wednesday).


In the day’s matches, Biman beat Sonali Bank by 4-0 points at the Federation Auditorium.


Zia, Reefat, Rakib and Reza of Biman won their boards against Aurul, Kamber, Jamil and Rabi.


Titas Club and Narayanganj Chess Players Association followed the leader with 10.5 points each.


Titas beat Nakhalpara Jubo Kallayan Sangha by 3-1 points and Narayanganj CPA beat Mohakhali Prodip Sangha by 3-1 points in the third round.


In the day’s other matches, Leonine Chess Club beat Anu Memorial by 4-0 points, Kamlapur Samaj Kallayan & Krira Sangha beat Farashganj SC 2.5-1.5 points, Anushillan Daba KC beat Rajshahi Daba Unnayan Sangstha 3-1 points and Uttara Daba Sangha beat Uttara Central Chess Club 4-0 points.


Bangladesh Ansar drew with Dhaka University Chess team by 2-2 points.


The 4th round games will begin at 2:30pm at the Chess Federation Auditorium.
