69 people were burnt by
throwing acid during last one month, a report by Bangladesh Human Rights
Commission says. Commission suggested a special tribunal to implement the
trial of the acid-burnt.
The report says 52 out
of 69 of the victims were females. Among the rest, 12 were males and 4
were children. 32 young girls were targeted for denying evil proposals. 16
people for land disputes and 12 others for family enmity were victimized
in last six months.
The report says over 3
hundred women and children await proper medical treatment. Local thana
authorities are failure to investigate the cases properly and punish the
culprits.
