May 3 (UNB) - Social Service Department has given allowances to
180 divorced women and widows in four unions of Sadar upazila.
Each
of the distressed women was given at the rate of Tk 100 per
month. Shahid Chowdhury, Chairman of Habiganj Municipality,
handed over the money to them at a function at the municipal
office in presence of officials and local elite on April 24.
