Chittagong (UNB) – The hearing in the Zibran murder case will resume in Chittagong Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court on July 16.

Court sources said 15 witnesses, including industrialist AK Shamsuddin Khan and Roni Khan, would make their depositions during the hearing.

Meanwhile, Law Ministry yesterday appointed two special public prosecutors -- Gurnendu Borua and Sadhanmoy Bhattacharya -- to conduct the case.

Zibran Toyebi, an Indian national and representative of Centrance Maritime (Bangladesh) Ltd, was killed on his way home from his Agrabad office on June 9, 1999.

A case was filed against 11 people. Nine of the accused in the case were arrested while two others, including main accused Yasin Rahman Titu, are absconding.
