Dhaka--(UNB) – In bid to boost tax collection, and strengthening accountability and transparency in preventing tax evasion, the National Board of Revenue (NBR) has posted two officers at two land customs in northern region.

One Assistant Commissioner and one Deputy Commissioner have been posted at Hilly and Sona Masjid Customs Stations in Dinajpur and Rajshahi, said a handout.

The posting was given following increase of imports through the two LC stations from India alongside improvement of communication network between Dhaka and northern region after construction of the Bangabandhu Bridge over the river Jamuna.
