Dhaka--(UNB) – The main index at Dhaka Stock Exchange closed higher yesterday(Wednesday) with the losers outnumbering the gainers.

The DSE all Share Price Index gained 2.31 points or 0.36 percent to close at 633.45 points from Tuesday’s 631.14 points.

But the DSE-20 index dropped by 0.40 points or 0.03 percent to close at 1247.33 points as against 1247.73 points on Tuesday.

Of the 156 listed securities traded today, 58 declined, 75 advanced and 23 remain unchanged.

Some 1,804,640 shares and debentures valued at Tk 10.89 crore were transacted against 1,339,238 shares worth Tk 8.70 crore on the previous trading day.

Bexi pharma (245,750), Fu-Wang Food (169,000), Sinobangla (164,000), Aims First Guaranteed (152,500) and Roseheaven (108,500) were among the volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 60.38 billion from Tk 60.61 billion on Tuesday.
