Chittagong-- (UNB) – Trading at Chittagong Stock Exchange finished higher yesterday (Thursday) for the fourth straight day as the gainers outnumbered the losers.

The CSE All Share Price Index rose by 8.90 points or 0.63 percent to close at 1412.24 points from 1403.34 points on Wednesday.

Of the 48 listed securities traded yesterday, 25 gained, 17 declined and six remained unchanged.

Some 490,860 shares and debentures worth Tk 3.78 crore changed hands yesterday as against 567,905 shares valued at Tk 3.84 crore on the previous trading day.

Southeast Bank (128,350), Chic Tex Limited (98,500), Beximco Pharmaceuticals (53,450) and Quasem Drycells Limited (46,550) and were among the volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 57.76 billion from Tk 57.45 billion on Wednesday.
