Dhaka-- (UNB) - Betar license renewal programme for the year 2001 started on December 1 and it will continue till January 31 next.

Radio set owners have been requested to renew their licenses paying Tk 15 to their nearby post offices, said a handout.

It said licenses of temporarily inoperative radio sets and transistors are also renewable, as the use of radio and transistors without license is a punishable offence.

The radio sets, which are used in shops, hotels and restaurants, will require commercial license with a fee of Tk 50, the handout said.
