Dhaka-- (UNB) – An inter-ministerial meeting yesterday discussed measures for safe travel of homebound passengers ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.

It said adequate number of all modes of transports including launch and steamers should ply in all routes. Ferry services at Mawa-Charjanajat, Aricha-Protappur and Aricha-Dauladia routes would be improved.

The meeting urged the Roads and Highways department to replace inoperative transport ferries with effective ones.
