Chittagong-- (UNB) – The main index at Chittagong Stock Exchange marked a rise yesterday as the gainers outnumbered the losers.

The CSE All Share Price Index gained 9.64 points or 0.70 percent to close at 1387.42 points from Tuesday’s 1377.78 points.

Of the 62 listed securities traded yesterday, 42 gained, eight declined and 12 remained unchanged.

Some 790,755 shares and debentures valued at Tk 5.84 crore were transacted as against 233,990 shares worth Tk 1.78 core on the previous trading day.

Quasem Drycells (54,400), Beximco Pharmaceutical (38,250), Paragon Leather (20,750) and Sino Bangla (19,500) were among the volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 56.87 billion from Tk 56.52 billion Tuesday.
