Dhaka--(UNB) – The price index at Dhaka Stock Exchange lowered for the fourth straight day yesterday as the losers outnumbered the gainers.

The DSE All Share Price Index shed 1.71 points or 0.26 percent to close at 634.61 points from Monday’s 636.32 points.

Of the 147 listed securities traded yesterday, 83 declined, 42 advanced and 22 remained unchanged.

Some 1,588,629 shares and debentures valued at Tk 13.72 crore changed hands as against 3,172,220 shares worth Tk 11.16 crore on the previous trading day.

AIMS First Mutual Fund (197,500), Chic Tex (144,500), Beximco Pharma (159,050), Sino Bangla (87,000) and Meghna Cement (83,050) were among the volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 60.49 billion from Tk 60.65 billion on Monday.
