Chittagong (UNB) - The main index at Chittagong Stock Exchange continued to rise for the third straight day today with the gainers outnumbering the losers.

The CSE All Share Price Index rose by 3.85 points or 0.26 percent to close at 1443.17 points from Monday's 1439.32 points.

Of the 76 listed securities traded today, 36 gained, 34 declined and six remained unchanged.

Some 1,878,996 shares and debentures valued at Tk 10.21 crore were transacted today as against 1,414,484 shares worth Tk 9.08 crore on the previous trading day.

Paragon Leather (226,750), AIMS First Guaranteed (226,500), Sino Bangla (157,500), Beximco Pharma (138,100) and Chic Tex Ltd (136,500) were among the volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 54.56 billion from Tk 54.43 billion on Monday.
