Chittagong-- (UNB) - The main index at Chittagong Stock Exchange marked slight rise yesterday though the losers outnumbered the gainers.

The CSE All Share Price Index gained 4.30 points or 0.30 percent to close at 1418.11 points from 1413.81 points on Monday.

Of the 70 listed securities traded yesterday, 29 gained, 30 declined and 11 remained unchanged.

Some 479,259 shares and debentures valued at Tk 3.07 crore were transacted yesterday as against 607,823 shares worth Tk 4 crore on the previous trading day.

Beximco Pharma (92,650), AIMS First Guaranteed (52,500) and BD Welding (39,000) were among the day's volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 53.57 billion from Monday's Tk 53.42 billion.
