Do you guys remember the poem "Kothai shorgo kothai norok , k bole ta bohudur...(can't remember the title right now) ? This poem perfectly defines what spirituality is. When you are spiritual you seek truth inside your heart and mind but when you are religious you let someone to tell you what the truth is. You need to follow a “text book” to be a member of a particular religion. Rules are defined strictly in religion. Beliefs tend to be very black or white. There is no gray region in-between. A spiritual man writes all the codes to make the software of his own life and the religious one uses the readymade software which he has inherited from his predecessors. Religion is not an essential ingredient for life but without spirituality human civilization will not exist.

this is number 9 times I am reading your posting, Noel and trying to grasp the meaning of every single word.

"you seek truth inside your heart and mind" ....but how do you do that? How do you learn that should be done?
