La Viva Brazil ...:p
Description:

Brazil Fingerprints U.S. Visitors [Reuters (Jan 12, 2004)]

Brazil's controversial fingerprinting of U.S. visitors will remain in force............

The United States on Jan. 5 started fingerprinting and photographing visitors, including Brazilians, who need visas to enter the country as part of anti-terrorism controls. The system exempts citizens of 27 mainly European nations who do not need visas for short trips.

In retaliation, a Brazilian judge ordered the fingerprinting of U.S. visitors.

U.S. passport holders have been subjected to long lines at Brazilian ports of entry since the new controls were implemented, prompting Secretary of State Colin Powell (news - web sites) to complain that AMERICANS WERE BEING DISCRIMINATED AGAINST.

Now isnt that funny? When the Bush admin. does something (and anything!).....it will be perfectly allright, and when someone else does the same thing......its simply not right!

Btavo Brazil !!!

Bravo Brazil, they sure have got the guts!! Just can't believe, a country in not so much of a flourishing economy, could take such a strong stance against the mightiest nation (not mention, the most notoriously vindictive and war-loving government) of the world!!
