Dhaka (UNB) - Dhaka City Mayor Mohammad Hanif yesterday visited the BIRDEM Hospital in the city to see the dengue patients.

He talked to the patients in different wards of the hospital to inquire about their treatment and advised them not to be panicked.

The duty doctors informed the Mayor that the number of dengue affected have decreased due to ongoing awareness campaign, said a DCC press release.

The doctors further said patients from nearby districts including Gazipur and Narsingdi were also admitted to the hospital.

Mayor Hanif yesterday also made surprise visits to different city areas to supervise the garbage cleaning drive.
