Dhaka (UNB) - Dr Jeffrey P Koplan, Director of the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), arrives here today (Monday) as part of a global campaign for polio eradication. During his 10-day visit to Bangladesh, Dr Koplan will meet senior government officials and others working on polio eradication campaign. He will discuss the status of global efforts to eradicate polio and explore avenues of additional CDC support for the eradication campaign and other health issues of concern to Bangladesh. He will also visit Madaripur, Faridpur, Sylhet and the Chittagong Hill Tracts, said a special release of USIS, Dhaka yesterday (Sunday). |
