Dhaka-- (UNB) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed her conviction that the programme to immunise all children below five years with polio vaccine with the participation and cooperation of all would bring the positive result of ensuring good health of the future generation.

In a message on the eve of the 8th National Immunisation Day (NID), the Prime Minister yesterday said initiative has been taken to immunise two lakh children below five years on the occasion.

She said the programme is being implemented with the cooperation of various government, non-government and international organisations including Health and Family Welfare Ministry.

Expressing her happiness over observance of the day, the Prime Minister thanked all concerns to put up all out efforts in making the programme a success.

She hoped that they would be able to make the country free from polio diseases.
