Health workers to assist government on National Immunization Day |

Dhaka-- (UNB) – To achieve the goal of a polio-free Bangladesh, BRAC will engage 1.05 lakh health workers to assist the government in the 18th National Immunization Day (NID) programme on November 15-17. House to house search will be conducted during the four days to locate babies who were not immunized. They will be given polio vaccine. Besides, babies aged 12 to 59 months will be fed Vitamin-A capsules, says a BRAC press release. With the exception of disbursement of loan, all activities of Rural Development Programme of BRAC throughout the country will remain suspended on these days to enable its staff and health workers to fully concentrate on immunization. |
