Prime Minister's message on the eve of world diabetes day |

Dhaka-- (UNB)- Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has urged all concerned including physicians for creating mass awareness about diabetes and mitigate sufferings of the patients. In a message on the eve of world diabetes day the Prime Minister hoped the occasion would help control the disease. Hasina noted that the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had opened the doors of treatment of the disease by approving the BIRDEM project. Terming the BIRDEM as one of the reputed diabetes centre in the region with international standard the Prime Minister said that Dr Mohammad Ibrahim by his relentless effort, sincerity and devotion had established it for the treatment of the diabetic patients. She wished that the Bangladesh Diabetic Samity would play more effective role in ensuring the health care of the country’s commonman. |
