Dhaka, Oct 18 (UNB) - Nurses of Seba Institute of Dhaka Medical College Hospital called off their work abstention programme today (Wednesday).

The programme was withdrawn after a fruitful discussion between Health and Family Welfare Minister Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim and a 10-member delegation of Bangladesh Diploma Student Nurses Union.

The Health Minister assured the student nurses to resolve their just demands.

The nurses began the strike Sunday afternoon following a clash with class IV employees over serving food at their hostel.

The delegation members, among others, included union president Shahnaz Parvin and secretary general Harun-Ar-Rashid Dilu.
