Agrani Bank beat Shantinagar in 1st division |

Dhaka (UNB) – Agrani Bank Club came from behind to beat Shantinagar Club by 2-1 goals in the NBL Metropolis First Division Football league at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here yesterday (Monday). Munna scored for Shantinagar Club in the first half while fresh blood Shohag and Rabi scored one each for the bankers team in the second half. Shantinagar Club took lead in the 29th minute when Munna found the net by a good header off a Shipon corner, which came his way by Faruk (1-0). Shohag, in his first appearance in the Senior Division League yesterday, restored the parity for Agrani Bank in the very first minute of the second half, also by an well-judged header capitalizing on a Kamal cross (1-1). Rabi scored the match-winning goal for the bankers team in the 86th minute pushing the ball to open net from close off a Litu pass (2-1). Yellow cards : Ritu, Arif, Babu Khan (Agrani Bank),and Shipon (Shatinagar Club).
