Dhaka, June 7 (UNB) – Bhola DSA made a good start in the 21st Sher-e-Bangla Cup National Football Championship beating Jessore DSA by a solitary goal at Noakhali today (Wednesday).

 

Shohag scored the match-winning goal for the island district team in the very third minute of the day’s second match at the Shaheed Bhulu Stadium.

 

Earlier in the day’s first match, Narsingdi DSA shared points with Pabna DSA in a 4-4 draw at the same venue this (Wednesday) afternoon. The match was locked in 1-1 goal during the first half.

 

Shoeb, Bashir, Bulbul and Sudan scored one each for Narsingdi while Rabi struck twice, Taju and Altaf netted the remaining goals for Pabna.

 

Bangladesh Army will play Rajshahi DSA at 2 pm while Khulna DSA will encounter hosts Noakhali at 4 pm tomorrow (Thursday), the third day of the final round, at the same venue.
