Dhaka, May 12 (UNB) – Bangladesh suffered 1-7 goals defeat to giant Pakistan in the classification match of the 4th Junior Men’s Asia Cup Hockey Championship in Kuala Lumpur today (Friday).

 

Former world champions Pakistan, which finished third in Group ‘A’ placing after South Korea and Malaysia, met Group `B’ fourth finisher Bangladesh for the 5th place.

 

The winning team will fight for the 5th to 6th place while the losing side will vie for the 7th to 8th place on Saturday.

 

Earlier, in the group ‘B’ matches, Bangladesh beat Uzbekistan 5-1 and Iran 14-0, drew goalless with Japan and lost to India by 1-5 goals.
