LONDON (AP) - England has recalled left-arm seamer Alan Mullally Sunday for the fourth cricket test against the West Indies at Headingley starting on Thursday at the expense off spinner Croft.

Mullally's inclusion is the only change to England's 13-man squad annouced for the third, drawn test at Old Trafford. The series is currently tied at 1-1.

Croft's exclusion hasn't come as a surprise because Headingley has traditionally been a seamer friendly surface.

Announcing the squad, chairman of selectors David Graveney said: "We have decided to leave Robert Croft out as we do not think that spin will be needed at Headingley."

Mullally, 31, played the last of his 18 tests against South Africa at Centurian Park in January early this year. He has taken 56 wickets for England and is yet to appear in test against the West Indies. The bowler made his debut against India at Edgbaston in 1996.

"Alan Mullally is in a rich vein of form at the moment and we were also keen to keep Matthew Hoggard in the squad as Headingley is his home ground and he has a good track record there," Graveney said.

"Our final line-up will depend on an assessment of the pitch and the local weather conditions. But, at this stage, we are more than likely to play seven batsmen plus the four seam bowlers who played at Old Trafford."

England squad:

Nasser Hussain (captain), Michael Atherton, Marcus Trescothick, Graham Thorpe, Alec Stewart, Michael Vaughan, Craig White, Andrew Caddick, Dominic Cork, Darren Gough, Matthew Hoggard, Alan Mullally and Graeme Hick.
