Mumbai, Mohammed Azharuddin is likely to be invited by the Justice King Commission in South Africa next week to give more evidence on match-fixing, an internet site has reported from Cape Town on Monday.

Sacked South African skipper Hansie Cronje had confessed on Thursday that Azhar introduced him to bookie Mukesh Gupta during the 1996 Kanpur Test, a charge denied by the Hyderabadi.

According to the report, the 37-year-old former India captain can’t be forced to remain present before the commission. The inquiry commission feels that Azhar’s inputs will be invaluable for thorough investigation of the cricketing menace.
