Dhaka (UNB) - Bangladesh Cricket Board organised a photo exhibition today (Tuesday) on the third day of the weeklong celebration programmes marking the Dutch-Bangla Inaugural Test match on November 10-14.


State Minister for Information Prof Abu Syeed inaugurated the exhibition styled as 'Cricket of Bangladesh' at the National Sports Council gymnasium.


Some 200 rare photographs of three photojournalists - Rashid Talukdar, Khandakar Tareq and Shamsul Haq Tenku - are on display at the exhibition.


Meanwhile, a painting competition of different age groups was held at the same venue today.


More than 100 children and juveniles took part in the competition in three groups.


Riffat Binte Riaz Ananna became champion in group 'A', Ashiqur Rahman Rasa in group 'B' and Tamanna Parveen in group 'C'.


State Minister for Youth, Sports and Cultural Affairs Obaidul Quader distributed prizes among the winners and BCB president Saber Hossain Chowdhury was present on the occasion.


On the fourth day of the celebration programmes, a firework will be held at Gangasagar Dighi in Sabujbagh Thana at 7pm tomorrow (Wednesday).
