Savar-- (UNB)- Economics Department beat Botany Department by 3-wicket in the inaugural match of the Jahangirnagar University Inter-Department Cricket Competition at the JU central playground yesterday (Sunday).

Botany Department scored 110 runs for 7 wickets in stipulated 25 overs after deciding to bat first. In reply, Economics Department reached the target of 111 runs losing also 7 wickets in 22.2 overs.

Earlier, pro-VC of the University Prof Tajul Islam inaugurated the knockout basis 25-over-a-side cricket competition.
