Dhaka-- (UNB) – All the matches of NBL Metropolis Premier Division Football League have been suspended from today (Monday) to make the Bangabandhu National Stadium available for cricket.

Test babes Bangladesh will play their maiden test match against India November 10-14.

As per the fresh announcement, two premier league matech between Dhanmondi and Brothers Union, and Abahani and Rahmatganj will not be held today.

Bangladesh Football Federation had earlier said that the premier league matches would be suspended from Tuesday (Oct 17) on completion of the Abahani-Rahmatganj match on Monday (Oct 16).

But the National Sports Council, which had allotted the stadium for football up to Oct 15, did not agree to extend the allotment for one more day and instructed the BFF to free the ground after yesterday’s (Sunday’s) match.

However, the ongoing Metropolis First Division Football League matches will be held as per schedule at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.
