Chittagong, - As the losers strongly dominated the gainers, the main index at Chittagong Stock Exchange marked a fall yesterday (Wednesday).


The CSE All Share Price Index shed 3.76 points or 0.98 percent to close at 1386.65 points from Tuesday's 1400.41 points.


Of the 65 listed securities traded yesterday, 13 gained, 50 declined and two remained unchanged.


Some 1,005,280 shares and debentures valued at Tk 5.33 crore changed hands yesterday as against 1,249,549 shares worth Tk 4.15 crore on the previous trading day.


AIMS First Guaranteed (167,500), Sino Bangla (165,000), Fu-Wang Foods (164,000) and National Bank (160,040) were among the day's volume leaders.


Market capitalisation stood at Tk 52.52 billion from Tk 52.99 billion on Tuesday.
