Chittagong (UNB) – The main index at Chittagong Stock Exchange marked a rise yesterday (Thursday) with the gainers outnumbering the losers.

The CSE All Share Price Index gained 12.63 points or 0.95 percent to close at 1338.26 points from Wednesday’s 1325.63 points.

Of the 57 listed securities traded yesterday, 40 gained, five declined and 12 remained unchanged.

Some 868,486 shares and debentures worth Tk 3.94 crore were changed hands as against 912,737 shares valued at Tk 3.12 crore on the previous trading day.

Beximco Pharma (414,200), AIMS First Guaranteed (130,000), Shine Pukur (85,700) and Chic Tex Limited (73,500) were among the volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 50.85 billion from Wednesday’s Tk 50.41 billion.
