Chittagong (UNB) – The downward spiral at Chittagong Stock Exchange continued for the third straight day yesterday as the losers strongly dominated the gainers.


The CSE All Share Price Index slipped 10.97 points or 0.82 per cent to close at 1326.20 points from Tuesday’s 1337.18 points.


Of the 61 listed securities traded today, 54 declined, five advanced and two remained unchanged.


Some 1,069,850 shares and debentures worth Tk 4.83 crore were transacted as against 909,410 shares valued at Tk 4.34 crore on the previous trading day.


Aims First Guaranteed (300,000), Beximco Pharma (266,800) and Shine Pukur Holdings (184,950) were among the day’s volume leaders.


Market capitalisation stood at Tk 50.46 billion from Tk 50.83 billion on Tuesday.
