Chittagong (UNB) – Trading at the Chittagong Stock Exchange closed higher yesterday (Tuesday) as the gainers dominated the losers.


The CSE All Share Price Index upgraded by 2.64 points or 0.19 percent to close at 1393.74 points from Monday’s 1391.10 points.


Of the 60 listed securities traded yesterday, 24 gained, 27 declined and nine remained unchanged.


Some 724,787 shares and debentures valued at TK 2.85 crore were transacted as against 1,521,970 shares worth at Tk 4.89 crore on the previous day.


Beximco Pharma (153,075), Sino Bangla (148,000), BD Welding (79,000), AIMS First Guaranteed (75,000) and Shine Pukur (59,200) were among the volume leaders.


Market capitalisation stood at Tk 52.79 billion as against Tk 52.70 billion on Monday.
