Dhaka (UNB) – The main index at Dhaka Stock Exchange closed lower yesterday due to lackluster trading.


The DSE All Share Price Index shed 6.54 points or 1 percent to close at 643.34 points from Sunday’s 649.88 points.


Of the 161 listed securities traded yesterday, 105 declined, 34 advanced and 22 remained unchanged.


Some 3,482,553 shares and debentures valued at 15.33 crore were transacted as against 3,652,210 shares worth Tk 16.56 crore on the previous trading day.


Sino Bangla (674,500), Beximco Pharma (475,150), AIMS First Mutual Fund (452,500) and Raspit (362,500) were among the volume leaders.


Market capitalisation stood at Tk 61.06 billion as against Tk 61.68 billion on Sunday.
