Chittagong (UNB) - Trading at the Chittagong Stock Exchanged closed lower yesterday (Thursday) with the losers outnumbering the gainers.

The CSE All Share Price Index lost 6.46 points or 0.44 per cent to close at 1435.51 points from Wednesday's 1441.97 points.

Of the 72 listed securities traded yesterday, 21 gained, 43 declined and eight remained unchanged.

Some 1,847,066 shares and debentures valued at Tk 5.48 crore changed hands as against 2,317,770 shares worth Tk 7.33 crore on the previous day.

Quasem Drycells (499,250), AIMS First Guaranteed MF (285,000), BD Welding (254,000), Miracle Industry (176,500), Chic Tex (111,000) and Beximco Pharma (144,550) were among the volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 54.18 billion from Tk 54.40 billion on Wednesday.
