Dhaka (UNB) – Trading at Dhaka Stock Exchange finished higher yesterday posting a gain of 25.95 points in its benchmark.

The All Share Price Index in the country’s main bourse rose by 25.95 points or 4.28 percent to close at 607.19 from Tuesday’s 582.24 points.

Of the 175 listed securities traded yesterday, 138 advanced, 28 declined and nine remained unchanged.

Some 9,870,770 shares and debentures valued at Tk 30.56 crore changed hands as against 5,108,079 shares worth Tk 21.51 crore on the previous trading day.

AIMS First Mutual Fund (2,887,500), Beximco Pharma (1,135,000), Chic Tex (1,181,500), Ashraf Textiles, Quasem Drycell (550,200) (453,200) and Rangpur Foundry (332,500) and Meghna Shrimp (206,680) were among the volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 57.49 billion as against Tk 55.12 billion on Tuesday.
