Chittagong (UNB) - Trading at the Chittagong Stock Exchange closed higher yesterday (Sunday) as the gainers outnumbered the losers.


The CSE All Share Price Index rose by 10.04 points or 0.72 percent to close at 1387.90 points from Saturday's 1377.86 points.


Of the 71 listed securities traded yesterday, 36 gained, 29 declined and six remained unchanged.


Some 4,382,251 shares and debentures valued at Tk 11.73 crore changed hands as against 4,657,913 shares worth Tk 8.75 crore on the previous trading day.


AIMS First Guaranteed (1,972,500), Beximco Pharmaceuticals (590,900), Fu Wang Food (379,000), Chic Tex (347,500) and Quashem Dry-cells (339,900) were among the volume leaders.


Market capitalisation stood at 52.48 billion as against Tk 52.12 billion on Saturday.
