Chittagong (UNB) - Although the losers outnumbered the gainers, trading at Chittagong Stock Exchange finished higher yesterday (Monday).

The CSE All Share Price Index gained 3.11 points or 0.23 percent to close at 1343.95 points from Sunday's 1340.48 points.

Of the 54 listed securities traded yesterday, 19 gained, 31 declined and four remained unchanged.

Some 4,975,765 shares and debentures valued at Tk 11.93 crore were transacted as against 5,620,690 shares worth Tk 9.22 crore on the previous trading day.

AIMS First Guaranteed (1,350,000), Quasem Drycells (954,200), Chic Tex (786,000), Beximco Pharmaceuticals (741,000) and Fu Wang Food (353,000) were among the volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 50.95 billion from Sunday's Tk 50.48 billion.
