Chittagong (UNB) - Day's trading at the Chittagong Stock Exchange closed lower yesterday (Saturday) with losers heavily outnumbering the gainers.


The CSE All Share Price Index declined by 56.03 points or 4.17 per cent to close at 1285.37 points yesterday from Thursday's 1341.40 points.


Of the 65 listed securities traded yesterday, five gained and 60 declined.


Some 6,187,197 shares and debentures valued at Tk 15.45 crore changed hands as against 6,627,397 shares worth Tk 13.07 crore on the previous day.


AIMS First Guaranteed (1,390,000), Beximco Pharmaceuticals (1,172,200), Chic Tex (1,145,000) and Quasem Drycells (1,039,350) were among the volume leaders.


Market capitalisation stood at Tk 48.92 billion from Tk 50.86 billion on Wednesday.
