CSE index rises sharply |

Chittagong, (UNB) – Week’s trading at Chittagong Stock Exchange began Saturday marking a rise at its benchmark as the gainers outnumbered the losers.
All Share Price Index at the country’s second bourse rose by 3.77 points or 0.33 per cent to close at 1140.90 points from Wednesday’s 1137.13 points.
Of the 74 listed securities traded today, 37 gained, 31 declined and six remained unchanged.
Some 801,805 shares and debentures valued at Tk 4.21 crore changed hands as against 1,361,859 shares worth Tk 3.56 crore on the previous day.
Meghna Shrimp Culture (157,520), Chic Tex (51,500) Dynamic Textiles (25,280) and Bengal Biscuit (13,080) were among the volume leaders.
Market capitalization stood at Tk 43.74 billion against Tk 43.61 billion on Wednesday. |
