Chittagong, May 31 (UNB) – The main index at Chittagong Stock Exchange closed lower today although the turnover both in terms of volume and value increased. All Share Price Index at the country’s second bourse lost 3.68 points or 0.32 percent to close at 1111.65 points from Tuesday’s 1115.33 points. Of the 61 listed securities traded today, 42 gained, 14 declined and five remained unchanged. Some 897,430 shares and debentures valued at Tk 4.01 crore changed hands as against 712,200 shares worth Tk 2.90 crore on the previous trading day. Dynamic Textiles (278,860), Bengal Biscuit (81,500), Chic Tex (31,000) and Aims First Guaranteed (21,500) were among the volume leaders. Market capitalisation stood at Tk 42.74 billion from Tk 42.46 billion on Tuesday.
