Chittagong, May 8 (UNB) – Trading at the Chittagong Stock Exchange finished higher today (Monday) though the losers outnumbered the gainers.
All Share Price Index at the country’s second bourse gained 2.42 points or 0.22 percent to close at 1088.72 points from Sunday’s 1086.30 points.
Of the 55 listed securities traded today, 19 gained, 25 declined and 11 remained unchanged.
Some 539,460 shares and debentures worth Tk 3.12 crore changed hands today as against 393,595 shares valued at Tk 2.13 crore on the previous trading day.
Sino Bangla (129,000), Rahima Food Corporation (114,000), Paragon Leather (60,450) and Dynamic Textile Industries (58,320) were among the volume leaders.
Market capitalization stood at Tk 40.18 billion as against Tk 40.10 billion on Sunday.
