Dhaka, Apr 8 (UNB) – In a bid to expand client services, Prime Bank Limited is the first among the local commercial banks to introduce online banking service in the country.

 

The pioneer of the information technology-based banking in Bangladesh today (Saturday) introduced the service “Prime Line” for its clients.

 

“With introduction of the Prime Line, the bank will be able to provide best client services among the local banks,” its chairman Mohammad Nader Khan told a press conference today.

 

He said now the clients could operate their accounts from all 9 branches of the bank in Dhaka through the Prime Line.

 

“The facility can also be provided at all its 20 branches within a month,” said managing director Kazi Abdul Mazid.

 

As Soon as the network installation in all the 20 branches is completed, he said, accounts holder of one branch would be able to deposit and withdraw money from any of the branches of the bank.

 

The clients will have to apply for using the service, he said adding that they will have to pay no extra charges within a city, but for inter-city transactions they will require to pay Tk 50.

 

The bank vice-chairmen Mohammad Abul Quasem and Shahadat Hossain, directors RA Ghani and Sirajul Islam were present at the press conference.
