Dhaka-- (UNB)- Iran expects investments from Bangladesh in the free trade zone established by the Islamic Republic. Iranian Ambassador requested Bangladeshi entrepreneurs to invest in garments and other areas as major companies of his country here are staging a three-day exclusive show from February 13 at Dhaka Chamber premises. The Exclusive Iranian Catalogue Show will showcase major products of the Islamic Republic, ranging from cosmetics to automobiles. Briefing newsmen on the first-ever show, Iranian Ambassador Mohamad Rezaei Nouri yesterday hoped that the show would help minimize the communication gap that hinders exploring immense potentials of cultural and commercial relations between the two countries. Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) president Benajir Ahmed said Bangladesh’s business community is eager to build up strong commercial links with Iranian private sector and the catalogue show would play a catalytic role in this regard. |
