Chittagong-- (UNB) – The indexes at Chittagong Stock Exchange finished lower yesterday (Monday) as the losers dominated the gainers.

The CSE All Share Price Index shed 5.19 points or 0.37 per cent to close at 1380.36 points from Sunday’s 1385.55 points.

The Selective Index also dropped 7.45 points or 0.53 percent to close at 1402.07 points from 1409.52 points on Sunday.

Of the 51 listed securities traded today, 35 declined, only eight gained and eight remain unchanged.

Some 1,024,151 shares and debentures worth Tk 1.99 crore were transacted as against 491,200 shares valued at Tk 2.40 crore on the previous trading day.

Chic Tex Limited (4,56,500), Aims First Guaranteed (2,72,500) and M Hossain Garments (97,400) were among the volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 56.66 billion from Tk 56.85 billion on Sunday.
