DSE-20 index dropped by 9.18 points |

Dhaka-- (UNB) – The main index at Dhaka Stock Exchange continued to fall for the second straight day yesterday (Monday) with the losers heavily dominated the gainers. The DSE all Share Price Index lost 5.24 points or 0.75 percent to close at 627.86 points from Sunday’s 632.62 points. The DSE-20 index also dropped by 9.18 points or 0.73 percent to close at 1237.28 points from 1246.46 points on Sunday. Of the 150 listed securities traded today, 118 declined, 23 advanced and nine remained unchanged. Some 1,564,704 shares and debentures worth Tk 8.61 crore were transacted as against 1,477, 635 shares valued at Tk 9.32 crore on the previous trading day. Chic Tex (459,000), Sinobangla (128,000) and Aims First Mutual Fund (75,000) were among the volume leaders. Market capitalisation stood at Tk 59.85 billion from Tk 60.30 billion on Sunday. |
