Barisal--(UNB)- Launch owners have raised fare on Dhaka-Barisal route by Tk 20 for the dock passengers on the eve of Eid without prior announcement.

Each dock passengers are made to pay Tk 70, which was earlier Tk 50, causing inconvenience to the travelers.

The homebound passengers complained that they were compelled to pay additional fare since December 21.

A launch owner said the additional fare would be charged up to ten days after the Eid.
